Uganda is a Consultancy firm that seeks to recruit for its valuable client, a
national and indigenous Non-Governmental Organization working to improve the
quality of life and sustainable livelihoods of the poor and vulnerable groups
in Uganda while building a sustainable future.
- Create a detailed work plan which identifies
and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project - The incumbent will determine the resources
(time, money, equipment, etc) required to complete the project - Keenly review the project schedule with
senior management and all other staff that will be affected by the project
activities; revise the schedule as required - Execute the project according to the project
plan - Set-up files to ensure that all project
information is appropriately documented and secured - Regularly monitor the progress of the project
and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of
the project - Establish a communication schedule to update
stakeholders including appropriate staff in the organization on the
progress of the project - Review the quality of the work completed with
the project team on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the project
standards - Write reports on the project for management
and for funders - Communicate with funders as outlined in
funding agreements - Monitor cash flow projections and report
actual cash flow and variance to senior management on a regular basis
(monthly/bimonthly) - Manage all project funds according to
established accounting policies and procedures
- The ideal candidate for the Project Manager
(KEMSTAP) job placement should hold a University degree in Natural
Resources, Social Sciences, Public Administration, Development Studies, or
related field; A Master’s degree in a related field is an added advantage - At least five years’ experience in a Non-Governmental
organization setting - Professional experience in project
management, monitoring and evaluation as well as managing budgets - Excellent computer skills
- Excellent report writing skills
- Ability to work under minimum supervision,
under pressure and meet deadlines - Flexibility to work outside normal working
hours with long hours - Excellent oral, written and presentation
skills
