• Offer technical support to the Board of
  Directors
• Make positive contributions to the
  deliberations and decisions of the Board of Directors
• In charge of strategy formulation and
  implementation
• Responsible for risk policy formulation and
  implementation
• Prepare annual budgets that reflect the
  Strategic Plan objectives
• Provide strategic leadership to the
  organization
• Conduct special and other assignments on behalf
  of the Board of Directors
• Maintain the highest standards of personal
  conduct, professional performance and business ethics.

• The applicant should hold a Master’s degree
  in a relevant discipline
• Certificate in insurance.
• A minimum of ten (10) years of
  post-graduation working experience
• Ten years of experience in the financial
  services sector
• Four years of board membership experience is
  an added advantage
• Proven track record at senior management
  level for at least five (5) years, two (2) years of which should have been
  in a reputable insurance company
• Broad working knowledge and understanding of
  the insurance industry, corporate governance issues, strategic planning and
  management and financial services sector in Uganda
• Strong leadership and managerial skills
• Strategic and conceptual thinking abilities
• Excellent analytical and problem solving
  skills
• Keen attention to detail
• High level of integrity, honesty and professional
  competence
• Excellent skills in negotiation, risk
  management and conflict resolution
• Excellent interpersonal and communication
  skills
• Excellent ability to build effective teams
• Ability to work within tight schedules and to
  multitask/ fast-track appropriately
• Good computer literacy skills i.e.
  proficiency in Ms -Word, Excel, Outlook, Power point
• Should exhibit strong values
