Job Summary: The Chief Executive Officer will provide
professional leadership in managing the company strategically and maximising
returns while ensuring compliance with national and international -insurance
and management standards.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Offer technical support to the Board of
Directors - Make positive contributions to the
deliberations and decisions of the Board of Directors - In charge of strategy formulation and
implementation - Responsible for risk policy formulation and
implementation - Prepare annual budgets that reflect the
Strategic Plan objectives - Provide strategic leadership to the
organization - Conduct special and other assignments on behalf
of the Board of Directors - Maintain the highest standards of personal
conduct, professional performance and business ethics.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant should hold a Master’s degree
in a relevant discipline - Certificate in insurance.
- A minimum of ten (10) years of
post-graduation working experience - Ten years of experience in the financial
services sector - Four years of board membership experience is
an added advantage - Proven track record at senior management
level for at least five (5) years, two (2) years of which should have been
in a reputable insurance company - Broad working knowledge and understanding of
the insurance industry, corporate governance issues, strategic planning and
management and financial services sector in Uganda - Strong leadership and managerial skills
- Strategic and conceptual thinking abilities
- Excellent analytical and problem solving
skills - Keen attention to detail
- High level of integrity, honesty and professional
competence - Excellent skills in negotiation, risk
management and conflict resolution - Excellent interpersonal and communication
skills - Excellent ability to build effective teams
- Ability to work within tight schedules and to
multitask/ fast-track appropriately - Good computer literacy skills i.e.
proficiency in Ms -Word, Excel, Outlook, Power point - Should exhibit strong values
