Job Title:       Accounts Assistant

World Relief is a US non-profit organization that works with local partners to
provide lasting solutions to poverty, injustice and human suffering. LWF Uganda
works to reduce people’s vulnerability, supporting them to realize their
potential, to build on their assets, and to respond to their own problems and
needs. LWF Uganda currently has five areas of operation in Pader, Kitgum,
Adjumani, Katakwi, Sembabule, Kampala and Kamwenge Districts.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The applicant for the Accounts Assistant
    vacancy should hold a University Degree in B com (Accounting), BBA
    (Accounting) or related field;
  • A minimum of five (5) years working in
    accounts/finance in a reputable firm, public body or NGO;
  • A minimum of two (2) years working in
    accounts or bookkeeping with a reputable firm;
  • Good computer skills – MS Word/ Excel and
    familiar with any accounting package;
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of finance
    profession.
  • Excellent communication and coordination
    skills
  • Be mature and diplomatic with respect for
    local cultures
  • Capacity to work as a team and in
    multicultural environment.
  • High integrity, self-driven and able to set
    own work schedule with rigorous deadlines;
  • Proven ability to initiate and complete
    assignments and to work under demanding  circumstances and with minimal
    supervision;
