Limited is a subsidiary of Brookside Africa Limited, a dairy processing company
in Kenya, the largest economy in the East African Community. Brookside Dairies
was established in 1993 by members of the Jomo Kenyatta Family, including his
son Uhuru Kenyatta, who was elected President of Kenya in 2013. In 2009, the
Gulf-area-based private equity firm Abraaj Capital paid US$18.7 million for 10
percent shareholding in the business. In 2014, French yoghurt maker Danone paid
an undisclosed sum to acquire a 40 percent stake in Brookside. Beginning in
2013, Brookside has expanded by buying stakes in rival milk processing plants
in Kenya, Ethiopia, Nigeria, and Uganda. In Uganda, they partly own a
subsidiary, Sameer Agriculture and Livestock Limited.
- The Technical Head will be in charge of planning
and implementation of comprehensive maintenance systems - Carry out installations of new equipment and
relocation of coolers, generators and other equipment - Keenly monitor routine servicing of equipment
- Ensure electrical and cooler maintenance
- In charge of the planning and implementation
of CIP and Hot Water systems - Management of water source and ensure regular
water supply - Calibration of milk tankers/coolers
- The ideal candidate for the Brookside Technical
Head job opportunity should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical
Engineering - A minimum of five years’ experience in
maintenance of dairy equipment - Excellent analytical and problem solving
skills - Broad understanding and knowledge of energy
management - Computer literacy skills
