Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure the Bank gets Value for Money from
Supply Markets. - In charge of aggregating procurement requirements
across the organization to exploit total spending power and maintaining
robust knowledge of supply markets to enhance successful negotiation of
optimal sourcing arrangements - Consistently improve customer /supplier
relationships - Ensuring that goods and services are
purchased in line with the predefined arrangements by ordering only from
approved suppliers or pre-agreed prices. - Follow up and receipt of submissions of
procurement plan from Departments and branches - Receipt of Complaints/Compliments from
branches - The jobholder will receipt and coordination
of transport and accommodation arrangements. - In charge of issuing bidding documents, RFQ’s
and RFP’s - Actively participating in the evaluation
committees for procurements below 5m to 1m - Responsible for writing and issuing any
orders based on decisions taken by procurement committee and all approvals
outside procurement committee - Follow up on action points from procurement
committees - In charge of writing weekly/monthly reports
on contracts entered into and status on action points - Implementing Post Contract Action Points
- The jobholder will be a member of the
Negotiation team for Procurements made - Follow up and receipt of submissions of
procurement plan - Perform any other business assigned to you by
the Procurement Manager.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the Supervisor,
Procurement vacancy should hold a Bachelor’s degree in a Business related
Degree - CIPS qualification (Part or Full) or Masters
in Procurement is added advantage - A minimum of two years of related work
experience in a busy procurement environment
