Job Summary: The Project Focal Person – Health will be responsible
for the mobilization and sensitization of refugees and host communities on
reproductive health and family planning in compliance with existing URCS
strategies and Ministry of Health guidelines. The incumbent will also be responsible
for ensuring reduction in morbidity and mortality that arise as a result of
reproductive health related concerns in the project implementation areas
for the mobilization and sensitization of refugees and host communities on

reproductive health related concerns in the project implementation areas
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for conducting public campaigns
on reproductive health and family planning. - In charge of identifying community
reproductive health and family planning needs in project areas. - Responsible for community disease
surveillance in the refugee settlements of project implementation. - Responsible for compiling Health sector work
plans as per approved project work plans and budgets. - Prepare and submit timely report on
reproductive health and family planning related implementation in the
project. - Responsible for attending health working
group sectoral meetings with the District, UNHCR and OPM. - Carry out distribution of reproductive health
and family planning materials to beneficiaries according to URCS
guidelines. - Responsible for capacity building of
volunteers under his supervision - Perform any other duties as may be allocated
from time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the Uganda Red Cross
Society Project Focal Person – Health job placement should hold a Bachelor’s
Degree in Nursing, Public Health, Social Work or associated discipline - At least two years’ experience in the areas
of reproductive health and family planning is a MUST - Ability to multi-task, work under pressure
and meet deadlines. - Possession of a valid driving license for
motor bike is a MUST. - Impeccable level of integrity
- Excellent interpersonal and communication
skills - Good report writing skills
