expertise in execution of MKOPA Uganda sales strategy in line with overall
business plan
- Lead and execute MKOPA Uganda sales strategy
ensuring alignment to the over business plan to sustain business
growth - Lead and manage marketing planning and
execution including both below-the-line and above-the-line materials and
campaigns in line with overall business plan objectives - Plan, formulate and implement marketing and
sales budget in line with MKOPA Uganda sales and marketing key performance
indicators (KPIs) - Provide direction to the sales and marketing
department by setting department goals and objectives in line with the
company’s mission and vision - The incumbent will guide the engagement,
development, deployment and retention of talented sales staff and direct
Sales representatives in accordance with the established performance
management system
- The applicant should preferably be educated
in a related field, such as business administration, telecommunications or
marketing. - The applicant should have a minimum of five
to ten years’ experience in sales and marketing; senior experience in a
related commercial field: financial services, mobile-money or other
commission based product in Uganda; - Demonstrated ability to lead planning and
execution for national BTL and ATL marketing; - Previous experience in managing budgets
effectively, financial management, setting up effective metrics and
business processes; - Demonstrated ability to build and manage a
network of field offices and regional representatives, with support
functions, in a comparable industry; - Affinity for entrepreneurship, understanding
potential benefits of mobile technology to low-income people; - Capacity to innovate, create new channels and
structures for distribution; - Ability to manage inventory and stock across
multiple regions; - Working knowledge of the local business
environment, particularly in financial services, mobile money or telecoms
industries; - Ability to build and manage relations at all
levels within a fast growing startup company.
