Job Summary: The Financial Controller and Head of Human
Resource will oversee all activities involved in the development, improvement
and management of financial and human resources affairs of the organization.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Steer the preparation of budgets and
    presentation.
  • Budgetary monitoring and controls.
  • Preparation of monthly Management Accounts.
  • The jobholder will be responsible for the preparation
    and monitoring of daily Cash Flows
  • Ensure effective financial controls are in
    place.
  • Ensure proper costing of healthcare plans.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of the assets
    registers and that all assets are appropriately insured.
  • Produce monthly creditors and aged debtors
    lists, monitor and ensure compliance with appropriate practice.
  • Prepare for both internal and external audits
    and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Prepare and submit annual company returns.
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels.
  • Work closely with the Country Head of
    Healthcare and senior management team to identify the current and future
    needs of the business and design HR & Organizational Development
    strategies, plans, and interventions to ensure the department is equipped
    to achieve them.
  • Actively facilitate coaching, mentoring and
    feedback to the in- country senior management team, managers and staff to
    improve individual and organisational performance.
  • Support organisational change by ensuring the
    appropriate systems of performance and development, communications,
    monitoring and review are in place.
  • Work as part of multi-disciplinary project
    team to enable the breaking down of divisional and departmental barriers
    and to encourage the concept of both internal and external partnership
    working.
  • Assess the need for talent in relation to the
    current and future business, including the need for specific competencies,
    knowledge and skills and experience to enable the business to achieve its
    strategic objectives.
  • Develop, promote and implement the full range
    of workforce, succession planning and talent management strategies that
    will support the delivery of business requirements.
  • Significantly contribute to the development
    and review of Business Plans/Strategies for the company.
  • Drive and facilitate an effective performance
    management regime in the company creating and maintaining a high
    performance culture to improve organisational capability and the calibre
    of individuals.
  • Work closely with the management team to
    identify opportunities for productivity improvements, via review of
    organisational structures, streamlining of business processes, continuous
    improvement, and performance management.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The applicant should hold an Undergraduate
    degree. MBA and/or postgraduate training.
  • Professional accounting qualification i.e. CPA
    or ACCA.
  • Human Resources Training.
  • At least three years’ experience in a Senior
    Management position with proven skills in budgeting, monitoring and
    reporting, production of Management Accounts.
  • Good people management skills.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • The applicant must be a team player
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving
    skills.
