Job Summary: The Finance Assistant will support the NGO by performing
a variety of professional level accounting duties involved in preparing,
maintaining, analyzing, verifying, and reconciling financial transactions,
statements, records, and reports; maintaining the accuracy of the ledgers and
subsidiary financial systems; assisting in the preparation of assigned budgets,
annual audit, and year end closing; and providing highly responsible staff
assistance to assigned management staff.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicants should hold University degrees/
diplomas in Accounting - Professional accounting qualifications i.e. ACCA,
CPA. - At least four years of increasingly
responsible experience performing journey to complex accounting and
finance work. - Computer literacy skills with working
knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel and Accounting Software. Ability to use
SAGE accounting package - Demonstrates knowledge of general record
keeping and filing. - Excellent communication and inter-personal
skills; - Demonstrates diplomacy and tact. Is a
self-starter and team player - Strong analytical and problem solving skills
with attention to details; - Ability to deliver creative and participatory
solutions. - God fearing and demonstrates high moral
ethics. - Highly pro-active, self-disciplined and time
conscience. - Demonstrates strong business orientation,
organizational, methodical and planning skills. - Maintain confidentiality of data/information
obtained.
