knowledgeable individual as a Dredger Operator for our client.
Job Summary: The Dredger Operator will operate dredge to remove
sand, gravel, or other materials from lakes, rivers, or streams; and to
excavate and maintain navigable channels in waterways.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Direct or assist workers placing shore
anchors and cables, laying additional pipes from dredges to shore, and
pumping water from pontoons. - Lower anchor poles to verify depths of
excavations, using winches, or scan depth gauges to determine depths of
excavations. - Move levers to position dredges for
excavation, to engage hydraulic pumps, to raise and lower suction booms,
and to control rotation of cutter heads. - The jobholder will pump water to clear
machinery pipelines. - Start power winches that draw in or let out
cables to change positions of dredges, or pull in and let out cables
manually. - Start and stop engines to operate equipment.
- Determines extent of correction and exposure
length needed based on experience or predetermined exposure and color
charts. - Prepares dyes and other chemical solutions
according to standard and applies solution to inaccurately colored areas
of film to correct color by chemical method. - Blocks out or modifies color shades of film,
using template, brushes, and opaque.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant should hold a Diploma in
Mechanical Engineering required; - At least two (2) to five (5) years of related
experience; - Excellent interpersonal skills;
- Proven ability to obtain results through
others, and to lead - Effective oral and written communication
skills
