Job Summary: The Business Intelligence Analyst will be
responsible for working with Vodafone business users to deliver quality and
consistent data in accordance with data architecture and governance best practices
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Responsible for analysing system/internal
    customer needs and understanding; and accurately interpreting their
    requirements in order to build software in accordance with the required
    specification and established approval process
  • In charge of the design and development of
    Business Intelligence reports to facilitate decision-making by Management
    and business users across the OpCo in accordance with established
    deadlines
  • Engaging in the efficient daily monitoring of
    the Business Intelligence databases to ensure optimal usage and
    performance at all times
  • Carrying out continuous evaluations of
    Business Intelligence tool selections, implementation and support; and
    determining usefulness and compatibility with existing software and
    hardware
  • Working in close conjunction with business
    users to provide an exemplary support service on MIS and Business critical
    data and systems processes
  • Playing a focal role in periodic system
    security monitoring exercises and disaster recovery practices
  • Proficiently performing daily, weekly and
    monthly backups of critical data and procedures in compliance with company
    procedures and standards
  • In charge of designing, developing and
    maintaining a comprehensive and precise set of process and system-related
    documentation and procedures at all times
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The ideal candidate for the Vodafone Business
    Intelligence Analyst job opportunity must have demonstrable experience and
    technical ability in understanding complex data structures and user interface
    design to present data to business customers
  • A minimum of two to three years’ experience
    in a similar role
  • Possess Database IT certifications i.e.
    Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL
  • Extensive knowledge of the following
    operating systems: Windows 2008 Server, RedHat Enterprise Linux, Solaris
    10, HTML and Scripting
  • Results oriented with a strong work ethic and
    demonstrable superior customer service skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving
    skills
  • Demonstrable capabilities of collating and
    interpreting data from various sources
  • Capable of multi-tasking, time management and
    prioritisation of workload in time-challenged environments
  • High-level presentation and communication
    skills
  • Fast learner, flexible, hardworking and
    dynamic
  • Ability to work as an active team player with
    all Vodafone personnel
