Limited is a subsidiary of Brookside Africa Limited, a dairy processing company
in Kenya, the largest economy in the East African Community. Brookside Dairies
was established in 1993 by members of the Jomo Kenyatta Family, including his
son Uhuru Kenyatta, who was elected President of Kenya in 2013. In 2009, the
Gulf-area-based private equity firm Abraaj Capital paid US$18.7 million for 10
percent shareholding in the business. In 2014, French yoghurt maker Danone paid
an undisclosed sum to acquire a 40 percent stake in Brookside. Beginning in
2013, Brookside has expanded by buying stakes in rival milk processing plants
in Kenya, Ethiopia, Nigeria, and Uganda. In Uganda, they partly own a
subsidiary, Sameer Agriculture and Livestock Limited.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • The Quality Control Assistant will be
    responsible for testing aw milk for each tanker/cans and ensure it meets
    set quality standards
  • Regularly monitor and ensure high hygiene
    standards are maintained at all times
  • Reconcile milk received on daily basis
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • The candidates for the Brookside Quality
    Control Assistant Jobs should hold Certificates in Food or Dairy Science
    or Applied Chemistry
  • A minimum of two years’ experience working in
    dairy or beverage sector
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Accuracy and reliability of test results
  • Good in Chemical and Microbial assessment of
    milk
  • Broad working knowledge in Health and food
    safety
