Rwanda and Dubai. We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and
knowledgeable individual as an Accounts Assistant for our client.
Job Summary: The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for
processing financial records such as bills, invoices, accounts payable and
receivable. The Assistant will also be responsible for basic book keeping
activities, preparing payment vouchers and expense forms; receiving and receipting
cash from sales, pay out cash and reconcile the cash balances in the cash book
on a daily basis.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:  
  • Responsible for the preparation/ lining up
    payment vouchers for both cash and bank payments for the company;
  • In charge of entering approved payment
    requests into accounting software;
  • Expeditiously follow up of accountability of
    advances following procedures in the accounting manual;
  • Posting tax invoices and receipts for
    clients;
  • File all accounting documents in a
    professional manner;
  • Following up on due accounts from the clients
    and reconciliation of client accounts;
  • Responsible for the preparation of monthly
    bank reconciliations, NSSF, VAT, WHT and PAYE returns;
  • Actively participate in the preparation of
    monthly management accounts for the company;
  • Actively facilitate the preparation and
    follow up of tax matters of the company;
  • Responsible for the procurement of items in
    line with procurement policy; and
  • Perform any other duties that may be
    allocated to you from time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The applicant for the Accounts Assistant job
    vacancy should hold a diploma in Business Administration, Finance,
    International Business or any other relevant courses from a recognized
    University or institution;
  • Possession of any professional qualification
    would be an added advantage;
  • At least one year’s experience in Finance and
    Accounts in a large organization.
  • At least two years working experience in
    similar industry;
  • Excellent financial management skills with
    knowledge of computer Accounting Packages and good understanding of
    financial requirements and tax policies;
  • Excellent analytical skills and Ability to
    work with minimum supervision;
  • Highly self-motivated with demonstrated
    ability to generate financial reports and meet deadlines with integrity
    and confidentiality;
  • Working knowledge of computerized accounting
    software like QuickBooks, Tally etc is an added advantage;
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain personal
    professional development and competencies on financial issues; and
  • Be a good team player with good
    interpersonal, communication and creative thinking skills.
  • Ability to deliver accurate results in a
    timely manner and in an environment with multiple and challenging tasks.
