About URC SUSTAIN Project:
University
Research Co., LLC (URC) is implementing the USAID-funded Strengthening Uganda’s
Systems for Treating AIDS Nationally (SUSTAIN) project. The project supports
delivery of quality HIV prevention, treatment, care and laboratory services at
selected regional referral and general hospitals.
Job Summary: The Laboratory
Logistics Officer will work closely with the relevant departments of the MOH,
CPHL and AIDS Control Program (ACP), at the respective regional referral and
general hospitals in strengthening laboratory logistics services leading to
improvement in logistics and inventory management of health commodities at the
supported health facilities.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The applicant should preferably hold a Bachelor’s
    Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology;
  • A minimum of three years of post-qualification
    experience in a public health laboratory, experience with managing HIV
    laboratory programs, specifically planning for and delivering of
    laboratory commodities;
  • Possess a valid registration certificate from
    the Uganda Medical and Dental practitioners Council;
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and
    training skills;
  • Previous experience in medical record
    keeping;
  • Previous involvement in bi-monthly and commodity
    report submission to central stores.
