Voucher Plus Activity. The goal of USAID is to expand access to and the quality
of health services for pregnant women, including maternal mid child care,
facility- based delivery and postpartum family planning, through the private
sector. The project will operate in 23 districts in Northern and Eastern
Uganda.

Job Summary: The Training Officer will be in charge of developing,
managing and carrying out training of trainers and supervise training of
community based volunteers. The jobholder will conduct training needs assessments
as necessary and coordinate all trainings conducted by the project.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the USAID Project Training
Officer vacancy should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in education, social work,
community psychology or related field. - Previous experience working with a non-profit
organization. - Excellent track record in developing training
manuals, organizing and conducting trainings. - Previous exposure and experience using
participatory training methods is an added advantage - Excellent communication and presentation
skills; - Excellent writing and organizational skills;
- Previous experience and willingness to
contribute collaboratively to an effective team environment; - Excellent training of trainees’ skills and
proven ability to work effectively at the grassroots level. Additional
training in Reproductive health is an added advantage. - Familiarity with the Reproductive Health issues
is an added advantage - Willingness to develop knowledge, skills and
understanding of the technical areas in which training is conducted. - Fluency in Luo, Ateso or Lusoga.
