the Chief of Party in the design, implementation, and monitoring of high
impact, integrated health service delivery packages at supported health
facilities, including in HIV and AIDS, MNCH, FP/RH, Nutrition, Malaria, and TB.
The incumbent will also provide strategic direction, and technical guidance for
implementation of project activities to support accessibility and utilization
of health services.
- The ideal candidate for the World Vision Director,
Health Service Delivery career opportunity should preferably hold an
advanced degree in medicine or relevant field. - At least eight years of mid to senior level
project management experience on USAID donor funded health programs. - Significant experience in the design and
implementation of clinical service delivery in public and non-public
health facilities in Uganda with emphasis on quality improvement. - Previous exposure and experience in Uganda in
the design and implementation of similarly large donor-funded health
programs - Excellent track record in managing a project
team composed of technical experts and fostering team work. - Experience working in Uganda and /or East
Africa region in the design, management and implementation of similarly
large donor-funded health programs. - Familiarity with USAID or other US Government
administrative, management and reporting procedures and systems. - Proven track record managing a project team
composed of technical experts and fostering team work. - Superior communication and presentation
skills (both written and oral) and ability to communicate technical
materials to a range of audiences for differing purposes using print,
electronic, and presentation media.
