Job Summary: The Director, Health Service Delivery will support
the Chief of Party in the design, implementation, and monitoring of high
impact, integrated health service delivery packages at supported health
facilities, including in HIV and AIDS, MNCH, FP/RH, Nutrition, Malaria, and TB.
The incumbent will also provide strategic direction, and technical guidance for
implementation of project activities to support accessibility and utilization
of health services.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The ideal candidate for the World Vision Director,
    Health Service Delivery career opportunity should preferably hold an
    advanced degree in medicine or relevant field.
  • At least eight years of mid to senior level
    project management experience on USAID donor funded health programs.
  • Significant experience in the design and
    implementation of clinical service delivery in public and non-public
    health facilities in Uganda with emphasis on quality improvement.
  • Previous exposure and experience in Uganda in
    the design and implementation of similarly large donor-funded health
    programs
  • Excellent track record in managing a project
    team composed of technical experts and fostering team work.
  • Experience working in Uganda and /or East
    Africa region in the design, management and implementation of similarly
    large donor-funded health programs.
  • Familiarity with USAID or other US Government
    administrative, management and reporting procedures and systems.
  • Proven track record managing a project team
    composed of technical experts and fostering team work.
  • Superior communication and presentation
    skills (both written and oral) and ability to communicate technical
    materials to a range of audiences for differing purposes using print,
    electronic, and presentation media.
