Job Summary: The Underwriter
will support the Uganda market in affecting the mandate of the company in all
aspects of Reinsurance Underwriting.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Offer technical quality support to our
clients in Uganda - Underwrite treaty and facultative reinsurance
business; - Conduct company training initiatives for
staff and clients; - Conduct periodic market research and
analysis; - Grow the company brand and market share;
- Perform any other duties as will be assigned
from time to time
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the Underwriter job
opportunity should hold a relevant degree from a recognized University
preferably in Insurance, Actuarial Science and Engineering field. - Relevant insurance professional
qualifications – ACII preferred; - A minimum of seven years’ underwriting
experience in an insurance/reinsurance company especially in the Property
Class; - Computer literacy skills i.e. proficiency in
the use of MS Office suite plus other insurance/ Reinsurance packages; - Excellent communication and interpersonal
skills; - Be a team player;
- Value excellency and first class service provision;
- Be of high professionalism and integrity.
