Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the overall supervision of the Programme Manager, and the direct
guidance of the Support Services Officer, the Finance & Administration
Clerk will be responsible to support administrative and finance as follows:

guidance of the Support Services Officer, the Finance & Administration
Clerk will be responsible to support administrative and finance as follows:
- Render support in routine finance related
tasks, including running payment remittances in UNOPS online ERP system,
recording entries in general ledger and other account management duties; - Assist in petty cash administration;
- In charge of maintaining the section’s filing
system; - Assist in administrative arrangements for
personnel and visitors; - Assist in the stocktaking and inventory of
office equipment; - Assist with routine logistical and
administrative duties at the duty station; - Perform any other related duties as required
by the Programme Manager.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the United Nations
Office for Project Services (UNOPS) Finance and Administration Clerk
vacancy should hold a High school diploma or equivalent - At least three years’ experience in administration
or finance or any relevant field: - Computer literacy skills i.e. Proficiency in
the use of MS Office is required; - Working knowledge of commercial banking ERP
systems is desired; - Knowledge of public accounting rules is
desired; - Previous exposure and experience of managing
petty cash is desired; - Possess a valid driver’s License is desired;
- Working knowledge of UN/UNOPS policies and
procedures is desired; - Working experience with an internationally
recognized organization (UN, International NGOs, Humanitarian agency) is
desired; - Fluency in English (writing, speaking and
reading) is required; knowledge of Arabic is an asset.
