Job Summary: The Senior Manager – SME Sales will lead MTN
Business Uganda’s Small & Medium Enterprises (SME) sales strategy in order
to achieve the sales and market share targets to drive business growth.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Ensure and manage the SME Direct   and indirect channel Account Managers
    and Sales Representatives to align to Small and Medium Enterprise
    requirements and Meet and exceed monthly SME sales   targets within the business segment
  • Channel development. Online, Reseller
    strategy implementation. Ensuring  
    channel effectiveness and efficiency, marketing mix, channel
    education as well as realize segment objectives
  • Increase SME sales and usage of value added
    services in the market   place with
    specific reference to assigned sector.
  • Develop and implement an SME sales plan to
    achieve budgeted sales.
  • The incumbent will maximize/improve SME
    customer satisfaction service levels.
  • Manage, develop and discipline were necessary
    staff in the assigned   sector
  • In charge of the penetration of competitor
    accounts to increase MTN SME market share.
  • Reduction of churn in SME
  • Introduction of differentiators into the
    industry with special reference to the SME sector
  • Develop MTN Business SME ambitious strategy
    for new business development
  • Develop and expand SME sales operations in
    the entire country by promoting out MTN’s products and services.
  • Develop and manage SME sales Budget with the
    mandate of maintaining   customer
    satisfaction as well as customer retention and growth.
  • Work closely with commercial teams to ensure
    that   knowledge of new developments
    and offerings is disseminated to the SME sales team and that customer
    issues/problems are dealt with promptly and to the satisfaction of the
    customer.
  • Conduct monthly segment reviews make relevant
    and specific recommendations for action to EXCO and Group – providing the
    BVD
  • Identify new SME sales opportunities and
    focus the sales effort to   capitalize
    on such opportunities.
  • Accountability of volume growth and profitability.
    Track SME sales daily and design corrective actions.
  • Optimize SME sales and penetration into key
    accounts within the region
  • Develop and implement MTN sales strategy in
    line with overall Company   Business
    Plan
  • Ensure weekly, monthly and quarterly reports
    on sales activities are prepared and  
    distributed to GM MTNB and other stakeholders on EXCO
  • Ensure that Account managers and Regional
    Managers receive the levels   of
    support they require to operate efficiently and effectively
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The ideal candidate for the MTN Telecom
    Senior Manager – SME Sales career opportunity should preferably hold a Master’
    s degree and Bachelor’s degree in Commerce / Sales & Marketing /
    BBA/Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least five years’ experience as a Manager;
    with three years in relevant sector/ industry
  • A minimum of five years’ experience in relationship
    management, sales and/or marketing role in a service industry
  • Worked across diverse cultures and
    geographies is advantageous
  • Previous experience in sales management
    position for more than 5 years in a fast-paced multinational company in a
    highly competitive industry dealing in semi-durable high-tech goods that
    require after-sales service or experience in an ICT environment.
  • Knowledge of Segment Management
