Job Summary: The Senior Manager-MFS Analytics & Pricing
will provide innovative analytical support and commercial insight in order to
manage the end to end delivery of a range of structured department initiatives.
The jobholder will support the development of strategic business plans, budgets
and forecasts. As well as develop financial models that deliver timely and
action-oriented outputs that can drive commercial discussions and decisions,
identifying the best possible outcome for our customers, and continually
driving improvement. Drive a segmented MFS pricing strategy to facilitate
business growth

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop analytics to support MFS department
strategies to drive the customer acquisitions and increase revenues - Work closely with partner departments to
provide external benchmarking of MTN’s performance within the MFS market,
highlighting opportunities to drive incremental revenue - Support MFS’s development of strategic
business plans, budgets and forecasts and coordinate alignment with
stakeholders to build annual comprehensive budgets - Manage the definition and implementation of
MFS’ pricing strategy - Define and support implementation of MFS’
business intelligence, data architecture and strategy roadmaps - Develop financial models that deliver timely
and action-oriented outputs that can drive commercial discussions and
decisions - Collate, review and challenge individual
business returns to provide insightful communications and presentations
for Executive and Senior Management audiences - Develop and main influential relationships
with Business Intelligence customers across the business - Drive the cultural change required to ensure
BI is used optimally to make fast effective decisions in MFS department
and all levels in the company. - Forecast, plan and put together MFS’ overall
business plans in collaboration with other stakeholders
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the MTN Senior Manager-MFS
Analytics & Pricing job opportunity should hold a 4-year tertiary
qualification in Finance, Administration, Statistics, Engineering or
Marketing - Qualified CA, ACA, CIMA, MBA or Equivalent
(Advantageous) - Technical qualifications in data mining and
business intelligence advantageous - At least five years managerial experience,
three of which in relevant sector/ industry - Worked across diverse cultures and geographies
is advantageous - A minimum of seven to ten years’ experience
in a business analytical environment - Four years’ experience in a senior management
role for a multinational company in telecommunications, mobile financial
services - Finance professional or MBA equivalent with
relevant cost management experience - Extensive expertise in data warehousing and
data modelling - Significant experience in managing teams in a
Business Intelligence environment - Significant experience in Business
Intelligence, Continuous Improvement, program management and/ or Finance
would be beneficial - Appetite for innovation and continuous
improvement - Demonstrated ability to think outside of the
norm and present new ways of getting things done - Excellent negotiation skills- Contract
negotiation experience is paramount. - Proven ability to navigate through complicated
situations - Keen attention to detail
- Highly results oriented character
- Good relationship building skills
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- People management and supervision skills
- Well-developed Analytical and problem solving
skills
- Business intelligence training and /or
certification - Management Executive Development Programme
Training
- Knowledgeable in communication of complex
financial information in a concise, non-technical manner - Knowledgeable in evaluation of quantitative
data sets and determine “big picture” implications - Good knowledge of writing comprehensive
reports and effective communication with all levels of Senior Management
