Appliance
World Ltd (the company) is one of the largest organizations in Uganda dealing
in consumer electronics (refrigerators, microwaves, audio products,
televisions, and washing machines), commercial air conditioning and mechanical
ventilation, mobile phones, computers/network monitors.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • In charge of meeting clients, consultants,
    contractors and even suppliers.
  • Responsible for preparing quotations, PPT
    presentations and even doing basic air conditioning site surveys.
    Confirming orders, working with accounts to see that documentation to
    process the order is done and collection of outstanding monies.
  • Knowing about projects which will require air
    conditioning through having genuine relationships with consultants,
    clients and contractors.
  • In charge of working closely with the design
    engineers and project managers to see that they quote on time and that
    they do not unintentionally ‘frustrate’ consultants or clients. You will
    need to get a basic founding in the operations the building industry.
  • Keeping in touch with and checking with
    consultants and main contractors’ site foreman to see that they are happy
    with our team and our project manager. You will be surprised to find out
    about one’s frustration simply because you decided to ask!
  • Meeting our corporate customers all the time
    formally and informally to ensure they are happy.
  • A lot of your time will go in managing
    (baby-sitting) project managers as they have to be pushed to do certain
    tasks in time. For example, submission of quotation requests, applications
    for payments, bank guarantees, etc.
  • Building and managing relationships with our
    tendering department to see that any frustration Noor is having is
    resolved.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The Senior Corporate Sales Executive should
    be a person who is highly skilled in the area of marketing and managing a
    team of sales professionals
  • Computer literacy i.e. working knowledge of Microsoft
    Word, Excel and basic accounting knowledge is a must.
