Job Summary: The Relationship Supervisor Financial Institutions
will support the Bank by developing and maintaining a proactive customer
advisory relationship management that includes effective consultative selling
and structuring of solutions for institutional banking clientele that shall
include but not limited to Financial Institutions, NGOs and Insurance Companies
in line with the set targets, service standards and strategic objectives of the
Bank.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
1. Business Development:
  • Steer and monitor the growth of the loan book
    and deposits of the sector, initiate/identify product development
    solutions for the segment and generate monthly sales performance reports
    in line with the set targets.
  • The incumbent will develop a standard value
    proposition for the sector in line with business needs.
  • Actively market and effectively generate
    leads, create and periodically update customer databases for potential and
    existing Financial Institutions and Insurance Companies and recommend financial
    solutions based on customer value line with the set targets.
  • Carry out annual business reviews of the
    business, account plans and recommend integrated financial solutions based
    on customer lifetime cycle value line with the set targets.
  • Render support in the generation of end-to-end
    network value chain opportunities for all business segments in in line
    with banking practice and identified customer needs.
2. Client Relationship
Management
  • Plan and implement customer relationship
    management, ensure timely follow up any issues affecting the relationship,
    recommend, procedural, process, and policy changes required to meet
    customer expectation/needs and generate periodic status reports.
  • Maintain an updated database for potential
    customers; give direction to branches on the potential pipelines and
    conduct periodic visits or meetings to achieve understanding of their
    business needs intended to build a loyal customer base, in coordination
    with the branches.
  • Implement and monitor the existing MOUs with
    Financial Institutions and ensure that the agreed terms and conditions are
    adhered to. Branch Coordination
  • Work closely with branch management and staff
    to implement and monitor a system of ensuring continued compliance with
    Know your Customer and risk management policies in line with bank
    procedures, Monitor branch adherence to service level standards to
    institutional clients and Identify business opportunities that can be
    supported at regional and branch level for growth of the Bank..
  • Annually develop and review strategic plan
    and activities for the segment and monitor business trends affecting the
    sector.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • The ideal candidate for the Centenary Bank
    Manager Relationship Supervisor Financial Institutions job opportunity
    should hold an Honors’ degree in Business Administration, economics,
    commerce, statistics or any other related discipline.
  • Possession of postgraduate qualification in
    business management, marketing, economics, and any related disciplines is
    an added advantage.
  • A minimum of five years’ experience in a
    large corporate banking environment working directly with client’s e.g.
    credit / banking / marketing / client relationship management with two
    years at Supervisory / Senior Officer level.
  • Familiarity with the market, industry and
    global events with good business networks
  • Demonstrated ability to strategically think
    for the business
  • Excellent marketing, presentation and report
    writing skills
  • Excellent communication skills in order to
    manage Loyalty meetings.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple tasks
    simultaneously, timely and deliver under pressure.
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve customer
    service delivery issues timely and professionally
  • Creativity in resolving customer queries in
    challenging situations but in a professional manner
  • Computer literacy skills
  • Good people management, negotiation and team
    building skills
