Limited is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African
Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda and South Sudan. They would
like to recruit for a valuable client, an NGO.
Structure:
- Responsible for spearheading the process of
writing up the Annual Programme work plans in liaison with all programme
departmental heads. - The jobholder will plan the programme, using
robust technology to create a user-friendly plan for all of the
organizations activities - Develop new initiatives and implement both
short-term and long term goals and objectives - Develop and programme evaluation framework to
measure plans against performance and create innovative corrective
measures. - The incumbent will also organize the
activities to fit within the policies and procedures - Comply with legal and professional standards
- Develop tools for documentation and data
collection alongside the M&E team - Manage the authenticity and accuracy of data
collection and ensure a robust process - Orient and motivate staff on the programme
mandate, timelines and improving programme delivery through continued
training and exposure. - Schedule the programme implementing staff
roles and senior management visits to implementation sites to provide
supervisory support. Create a well-planned annual event for stakeholder
tours to programme site evaluation and monitoring. - Mentor and train staff to effectively
implement activities and control their engagement with community - Manage the recruitment of volunteers,
orientation and organization fit and monitor through HR their welfare and
performance.
Compliance:
- The incumbent will also screen funds
requisitions and concepts scrutinizing and following up approvals by
applying a wide breadth of knowledge and clear understanding of the
Organization’s interests and ensure timely submission of these
pre-requisites to the Executive Director and consequently the Finance department - Draft and submit technical proposals for
funding alongside Resource Mobilization and Grants Management and ensure authentic
forecasts and timely delivery of these proposals - Ensure that strategic plans and action plans
have been approved effectively documented and exhibited in all departments
of the organization. - In charge of the oeriodic communication and
updates to all staff on the intended method of implementation and updates - Contributing largely to the budgeting
process, by preparing authentic forecasts, annual budgets against the work
plans, scheduling expenditures analyzing variances and initiating
corrective actions. - Contributing largely to Grants and
fundraising reports, the aligned programme mandate. This is through
mapping and research proposals, budget frameworks and programme reports. - Enhancing the organizations reputation by
owning accomplishments and improving service delivery, exploring new
opportunities and adding value to accomplishments. - Hold Quarterly departmental meetings as a forum
for sharing and progress strategies.
- Identify and analyse and package key issues
for action, especially through research, reports and in liaison with other
Programme Officers and thematic heads. - Organise forums for stakeholder dissemination
of advocacy issues.
- Actively participate in the annual financial planning
and budgeting process. - Serve as the primary signatory on CGC
Operational Accounts, and agent; including withdrawal of funds, checking
bank balances. - Provide budget monitoring and guidance to
staff for effective utilisation of resources.
- Observe and conform to all regulations and
norms that affect the working environment of Non-Governmental
Organizations. - Carry out other assignments related to the Employer’s
objectives as may be directed by the Executive Director.
- The applicant should preferably hold a Master’s
Degree in Social Sector Planning and Management, Project Planning
Management, SWASA, Development Studies, Counseling and Guidance, Community
Psychology or any other related field - At least three years’ hands on experience as
Programme Manager in reputable NGOs - Ethical behavior
