Job Summary: The Marketing Manager will be in charge of the development
and implementation of the Umeme marketing strategy, support the growth of the
customer base, energy uptake and brand visibility.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the marketing strategy
and annual marketing plan to grow shareholder value. - Plan and carry out promotional and marketing
drives to sell company service offerings e.g. AMR and Pre-payment. - Develop and implement activities to promote
Customer electricity access among potential customers and growth among
existing clients. - Oversee the implementation of Umeme’s annual
market research survey and make recommendations to strengthen company
business performance. - The jobholder will research, compile and
maintain a pipeline of Potential Larger Power Users coming on board, asses
their potential energy and resource requirements for input in the company
strategic plans. - Conduct consumer education to strengthen
brand visibility, support energy utilization efficiency among the
customers.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate should hold a bachelor’s
degree in Commerce (B.Com), Business Administration (BBA), Marketing or
any graduate degree qualification - Possession of a relevant Postgraduate
qualification and affiliation to relevant professional bodies will be an
added advantage - Hold professional qualification in marketing
(CIM) is mandatory - At least three years’ experience in a similar
position in a large and busy service orientated company, two of which
should have been in a managerial role in a service sector. - Project management experience will be an
added advantage
