• In charge of developing the internal audit
  strategy and supervising its implementation;
• Responsible for developing internal audit
  policies, rules, standards, manuals, circulars and guidelines;
• In charge of reviewing and consolidating
  audit reports from the votes and externally;
• Working closely with the Auditor General,
  Accountant General, Accounting Officers and Internal Auditors on audit
  matters;
• In charge of consolidating the reports of all
  the Audit Committees on the respective votes;
• Periodically evaluating the effectiveness of
  Audit Committees of the respective votes;
• Facilitating the development of the Internal
  Audit cadres;
• Providing evidence to the relevant
  Parliamentary oversight Committees when required to do so;
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned
  from time to time.

• The applicant for the Internal Auditor
  General job opportunity should be a Ugandan who is a fully qualified
  Accountant and full Member for at least fifteen (15) years of the
  institute of Chartered Public Accountants of Uganda ICPA (U) or a body
  recognized by the ICPA (U).
• Possession of relevant additional
  qualifications such as Master’s Degree in Management will be an added
  advantage.
• A minimum of twelve years working experience,
  three (3) of which at a level of Commissioner/Internal Audit or Accounts
  in Government or an equivalent level of relevant experience from a
  reputable Organisation.
• Age: Above 35 years
