Job Summary: The Human Resource manager will be responsible for
to supporting the delivery of HR strategy, policies and procedures in line with
the Company’s Strategic Plan.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Pro-actively drive implementation of human
resources and administration policies and procedures ensuring compliance
consistent with best practice - Advice and co-ordinate the development of
staff related budgets and oversee the administration of internal operating
expenditure consistent with approved budgets. - Participate in the administration of
strategic planning and decision-making of the company in a way that the
organization’s human resource strategy is aligned with other business
strategies. - Provide expert advice and support to managers
and staffs on all aspects of people administration, which fully reflects
the company’s desire to be an employer of choice, current employment
legislation and best practice. - Advise and implement determined staffing
numbers, skills and needs to meet the organization’s objectives - Analyze the skills and qualities required for
each particular job and develop job descriptions and duty statements - Arrange and conduct staff training
- Advice the initiation, design and implement
strategic HR projects as and when required. - Keep up-to-date with legal developments and
in liaison with the Group Human Resources Manager advice the management
ensuring compliance and mitigation of risk factors. - Manage disciplinary and grievance matters
ensuring they meet the requirements of the company policies, legal and
best practice employment legislation in conjunction with the Group Human
Resources Manager and executive director. - Ensuring managers and staffs are aware of
company administrative policies and procedures and able to operate them
effectively and provide support to staff on HR issues as and when
required. - Ensure that staff are informed and updated on
approve key business and organizational issues. - Maintain custody of and update employee
records ensuring statutory compliance as required. - Follow-up and initiate the periodic
performance evaluations at supervisory staff levels. - Prepare accurate periodic reports as
required. - Generate timely and accurate reports as
required. - Comply with company security, health and
safety requirements. - Perform any other responsibilities as may be
assigned by the management from time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must be a Ugandan Citizen who
holds a Bachelor’s degree Human Resource Management - A minimum of five years’ experience in
the HR Function in Logistics/ Transport
Industry with two years in managerial role (must) - Broad knowledge and understanding of the
labor laws
