Job Summary: The Human Resource Coordinator will work closely
with the Head of Operation and Managers to provide support in a variety of
human resource duties including recruitment, induction, and performance
management and training related tasks. The successful candidate will have
strong organizational and IT skills, and a relevant Human Resource
qualification.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Supporting the Head of Operations in the administration process
    for recruitment and selection, in particular:
    • The jobholder will design Job
      Descriptions and adverts for publicity
    • Manage the application process ie
      check applications prior to the short listing process
    • In charge of organizing interviews
      for short listed applicants, including arranging the interview date,
      panel, rooms and interview programme
    • Manage the preparation and
      distribution of interview packs
    • Manage the recruitment filing
      system, including records on unsuccessful applicants
    • The jobholder will also complete
      pre-employment checks for preferred candidates in a timely manner
    • Managing the personnel records and
      ensuring all are kept up to date
    • Responsible for the new starter
      process, including setting up new starters, checks and ensuring all
      details are accurately recorded, such as qualifications, reference checks
      etc.
  • Assist with the smooth induction of new staff:
    • The incumbent will communicate
      details of new employees to appropriate colleagues to ensure facilities
      and equipment are readily available upon commencement of employment
    • Ensure new employees receive
      Induction Packs and associated information on their first day of
      employment
    • Make the necessary arrangements for
      new employees to attend induction training
  • Managing staff probation processes:
  • Manage the probationary reports, issuing probationary guidance,
    making sure probationary reports are prepared by managers by the
    appropriate date and returned to the human resource unit.
  • Assist with the smooth implementation of the performance
    management cycle by working with all managers and coordinators to ensure
    that:
    • Staff have Set agreed goals for
      performance within the role (Professional Goals)
    • Staff have set individual goals
      aligned to career ambitions and/or supporting the achievement of the
      Professional Goals (Development Goals)
    • Staff are receiving regular support
      and guidance through Performance Management Meetings
    • Line managers are formally reviewing
      and discussing individual performance during half-year and year-end performance
      review meetings and filing reports as required
  • To be coordinate for the staff leave processes, including:
    • Leaving correspondence
    • Leaver emails,
    • Calculating outstanding annual leave
    • Completing the leaver form for
      payroll
    • Exit questionnaires
    • Keenly monitor and record
      information contained on exit questionnaires, and any issues on the
      questionnaire are raised with the relevant manager and Head of Operations
  • Develop a system to track annual and other leave types
  • Supporting all managers and coordinators in correct human
    resource procedures and policies
  • Managing and updating all HR Policies and Procedures and all
    other compliant systems and processes
  • Render support in training and development administration,
    including keeping records of staff attending training and keeping records
    as up to date as appropriate.
  • Administration of any training course for staff and support the
    Head of Operation with running any in house training
  • Ensure staff personnel files are kept up to date.
  • Ensuring security and maintaining confidentiality within the
    Human Resource Team.
  • In charge of deputizing for the Head of Operation on issues
    related to HR
  • Perform any other duties deemed necessary both now and in the
    future to meet Organizational needs.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The ideal candidate for the Restless
    Development Human Resource Coordinator job opportunity should hold a Degree
    in Human Resource Management.
  • Previous experience in a Human Resource role and
    with HR management systems.
  • Good general administration experience.
  • Working in a busy environment with tasks that
    require a short turnaround.
  • Previous experience of managing a team and
    supporting line managers is desired
  • Demonstrated ability to work with limited
    supervision, to make decisions and work on own initiative.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong IT skills,
    including the use of in-house databases and the Microsoft Office
    applications
  • Effective communication skills, in order to
    deal tactfully and sensitively with people at all levels.
  • Excellent listening skills
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal
    skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain good
    working relationships with a wide range of people.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate within tight
    deadlines and manage a number of work activities at any one time.
  • Re-prioritize work with minimum warning
  • Flexibility and the ability to establish
    personal priorities.
  • Exercising good judgement.
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Willingness to work under pressure whilst
    maintaining a professional attitude.
  • Ability to deal with sensitive and
    confidential matters as necessary.
