Job Summary: The HR-Officer-Training and Development will
support BRAC Uganda Microfinance Ltd in managing the learning and professional
development of BRAC Uganda Microfinance staff. The incumbent will also assist
with the ongoing, long-term improvement of employees’ skills, enabling them to
fulfill their potential within BRAC Uganda Microfinance.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify training and development needs
through job analysis, field visit, Performance management tools, reports
and research among others. - In charge of designing and expanding training
and development programmes based on the needs of the microfinance entity
and the individual. - Oversee the development of the training
calendar/plan and budgets - Designing training curriculum as per needs
assessed. - In charge of developing effective induction
programmes. - Producing training materials for in-house
courses. Managing the delivery of training and development programmes. - Responsible for monitoring and reviewing the
progress of trainees through post training surveys such as questionnaires
and discussions with managers. - Ensure that all statutory training
requirements are met. Delivering training to staff. - In charge of evaluating training and
development programmes, amending and revising programmes as may deem
necessary, in order to adapt to changes occurring in the work environment
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant should preferably hold a Bachelor’s
Degree in Human Resource Management (HRM), or any other relevant Degree
accompanied by a PGDE in HRM - Essential additional qualifications for this
role are a training of trainers and customer service certificates. - At least two years’ working experience in a
busy environment preferably in banking or microfinance industry - Dynamic and Flexible individual who can
manage frequent travel to Regional, Area and Branch offices. - Previous exposure and experience in
developing and implementing strategic/ operational plans for financial
institutions. - Possess excellent communication and
Interpersonal skills - Excellent knowledge and application of local
and International labor laws - Computer literacy i.e. proficient in the use
of Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc
