Job Title:     Fundraising Officer
Organization: Lunch4Learning (L4L)
Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda
About US:
Lunch4Learning
(L4L) is an NGO that works in schools and communities in Uganda to improve
agriculture, nutrition, education and youth development.
Job Summary: The Fundraising Officer will support Lunch4Learning
(L4L) in these areas for fundraising: demonstration school gardens, improved food
security, school health and hygiene, water harvesting, school feeding, youth
entrepreneurship and employability, improved nutrition and improved learning
Outcomes.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Compile and maintain a database of local and
    international donors
  • Compile thorough research for the
    organization
  • Consistently monitor donors’ websites and new
    calls for proposals
  • Update and maintain a database of
    successfully funded projects in the region and develop a list of potential
    partners that could be contacted for future collaborations.
  • Build new working relationships with donors
    and other NGOs
  • The incumbent will write winning concept
    notes and full project proposals for the organization
  • Develop the organization’s fundraising
    strategy
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The applicant should preferably hold a
    Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of study.
  • At least two years’ demonstrated experience
    in securing donations.
  • Broad working knowledge and experience in
    computer applications and Internet.
  • Competent in the use of social media.
