Job Summary: The Sponsorship
Program Mentor will support and encourage vulnerable families and children in
Buziika, Buikwe District.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure the children’s best interest are top
priority - Ensure the children’s care is provided for
with proper health and education needs - Have knowledge of surrounding health and educational
facilities within reach of the families and be a liaison between the two
when needed - Provide family counseling and support by
encouraging participation of the families to develop solutions to their
problems - Work closely with the Mentor Manager to
identify family and community needs and work together with the community
resources to develop ways of meeting the identified needs - Carry out needs assessments and monitor needs
fulfillment and needs development - guide and counsel sponsored children in career
path and educational options
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the Sponsorship
Program Mentor job opportunity should hold a University degree - One year of relevant experience with
vulnerable children and families - Working knowledge of child protection theories
and laws in Uganda - The applicants must be hardworking, friendly,
focused - Good team player
- Demonstrate judgment and Critical thinking
abilities - Computer literacy skills i.e. Proficient in
various office programs i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, etc
