- In charge of carrying out research, document
and disseminate information on social gerontology - Offering technical advice, conduct support
and support supervision within the area of social gerontology. - Actively participating in policy in policy
formulation, design and implementation of programmes older persons. - In charge of developing project proposals on
support to older persons - Advocating for promotion and protection of
rights of older persons. - In charge of advocating for recognition of
the role of older persons in the development process. - Responsible for monitoring and evaluate
implementation of government initiatives as they apply to older persons - Perform any other duties as may be assigned
from time to time.
- The applicant should be a Ugandan citizen who
holds an Honors Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences or Social Work and
Social Administration or Development studies or Sociology or Humanities or
any other related field from a recognized University or Institution. - Age: Above 21 years
- High Degree of Ethics and Integrity
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Good communication and computer Skills
- Proven ability to adapt to multi-cultural
setting - High degree of innovation concern for
quality, standards technical - Proven ability to coach subordinates and
report writing skills - Strategic thinking
