was established in 2006 as a private non-profit, non-government organization in
Uganda after extensive consultation with various stake holders. It is a Ugandan
initiative which was encouraged and supported by CBM with the main aim of
expanding and improving the rehabilitation services for children and people
with disability.
- The Fundraising and Communications Officer
will take lead in the identification of
opportunities for funding, publicity and networking through the
internet, physical visits and media.
- Make presentations to potential donors and
make relevant follow up - Provide regular communication with potential
and existing donors through reports, updates, tours and responding to
inquiries. - The jobholder will also develop publications
including Newsletter, fliers and brochures - Develop ideas for merchandising to raise
awareness and funds for the hospital
- Actively engage with the Public and other
institutions to create and maintain networks. - Update the donor database
- Organize and participate in fundraising and
public events. - Perform any other duties that may be assigned
by management
- The applicant should preferably hold a Degree
in marketing, communication or its equivalent from a recognized university
- At least two years’ experience in raising
funds from corporate donors - Two years’ experience in organizing
fundraising events and campaigns - Good IT and computer proficiency
- Ability to multi-task
- High ethics and integrity
- Excellent communication skills
