Fresher Fundraising and Communications Officer NGO Jobs – CoRSU

About CoRSU:
CoRSU
was established in 2006 as a private non-profit, non-government organization in
Uganda after extensive consultation with various stake holders. It is a Ugandan
initiative which was encouraged and supported by CBM with the main aim of
expanding and improving the rehabilitation services for children and people
with disability.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • The Fundraising and Communications Officer
    will take lead in the identification of 
    opportunities for funding, publicity and networking through the
    internet, physical visits and media. 
  • Make presentations to potential donors and
    make relevant follow up
  • Provide regular communication with potential
    and existing donors through reports, updates, tours and responding to
    inquiries.
  • The jobholder will also develop publications
    including Newsletter, fliers and brochures
  • Develop ideas for merchandising to raise
    awareness and funds for the hospital  
  • Actively engage with the Public and other
    institutions to create and maintain networks.  
  • Update the donor database
  • Organize and participate in fundraising and
    public events. 
  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned
    by management
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The applicant should preferably hold a Degree
    in marketing, communication or its equivalent from a recognized university
  • At least two years’ experience in raising
    funds from corporate donors
  • Two years’ experience in organizing
    fundraising events and campaigns
  • Good IT and computer proficiency
  • Ability to multi-task
  • High ethics and integrity
  • Excellent communication skills
