The
Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) is established as a Statutory Body
under the Uganda Registration Services Bureau Act Cap. 210, Laws of Uganda 2000
Edition. The Bureau is a key player in commercial and civil registrations that
facilitate private sector development and vital statistics for national
planning.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- The jobholder will drive staff members/URSB
visitors to and from meeting places and other official destinations. - The Driver will transport and deliver URSB
mails or goods to specified destinations in line with the URSB’s
objectives. - In charge of maintaining vehicles under one’s
responsibility in a road worthy condition in line with URSB and national
requirements. - Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle.
- Maintaining trip movement records in line
with URSB’s recommended procedures.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Vehicles maintained in good running
conditions. - Staff and visitors transported according to program.
- Mails and goods received recorded in a
delivery book. - Vehicles inspected and reports made for
maintenance. - Vehicles washed and maintained clean.
- Mileage sheets, LPOs and kept safely.
- Mileage reading recorded.
- Accountability report of trip expenditures
prepared.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The Driver must at least hold an ‘A’ and/ or
‘O’ Level Certificate with a valid Driving licence with at least two
classes - A minimum of two to three years’ experience
as a Driver with a reputable organization. - Hold a Certificate in Defensive driving or
motor vehicle mechanics is added advantage. - Excellent interpersonal skills
- Good oral and written communication skills in
English.
