Democratic
Governance Facility (DGF) was established by eight of Uganda’s International
Development Partners including Austria, Denmark, EU, Ireland, Netherlands,
Norway, Sweden and the UK to manage coherent, harmonized and coordinated
multi-donor support to state and non-state actors aimed at enhancing democratic
governance in Uganda. It is based upon three components: Deepening Democracy; Rights,
Justice and Peace; and Voice & Accountability.

Job Summary: The Driver will support Democratic Governance
Facility (DGF) through the provision of efficient and effective transport
service to staff and that all the relevant documentation with respect to the
vehicles are kept up to date and maintain the vehicle in perfect running
condition.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- The incumbent will drive staff to and from
their destinations on time and ensure safety of the passengers and the
vehicle at all times and in compliance with the traffic laws. - Complete and sign the daily travel log sheet
and monitor fuel card usage regularly to ensure availability of fuel for
the car as and when required and ensure that all information required is
properly recorded and legible.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The Democratic Governance Facility (DGF)
driver should hold an O’ level certificate. - The applicant must also hold a valid driving
permit with at least two classes - A minimum of three years driving experience
with an organization involving up country travel. - Possession of defensive driving skills would
be an advantage - Good knowledge of the Kampala area and
upcountry routes - Ability to fix simple mechanical faults
involving the vehicle on the road
