• Develop, implement, monitor review and
  evaluate the Commission’s financial policies, strategies, objectives,
  regulations and financial control systems that safeguard the assets and
  support the regulatory functions of the Commission in line with Generally
  Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP) and the objectives of the Commission.
• The jobholder will also guide the development
  and implementation of the Commission’s corporate financial plans and
  annual budgets that optimize the resources available to UCC in line with
  the Commission’s Mission and Vision and GAAP
• Develop, review, and monitor the preparation
  of financial reports, financial statements and forecasts that comply with
  all financial reporting requirements in line with various stakeholder
  requirements and GAAP.
• The incumbent will institute and maintain the
  integrity of the Commission’s financial records and internal control
  structure in accordance with the Laws of Uganda and GAAP.
• Initiate and maintain effective communication
  flow with staff and other similar Institutions’ Financial Directors on
  best practices and financial issues in line with the corporate objectives
  of the Commission.
• Establish and manage UCC internal and
  external stakeholders in regards to all financial matters, respond to
  queries, provide information, obtain feedback, and promote the good
  corporate image of UCC.
• Provide financial input in all UCC policy
  advisory processes both internal and external, project analysis and
  evaluations, license evaluation, spectrum pricing and setting & review
  of license fees.

• The ideal candidate should hold a Master’s
  Degree in Accounting, Finance or any other related master’s degree; and a Bachelors
  ’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or Business Administration
  (Majoring in Accounting) or a related field; and
• Professional qualification. ACCA, CPA
• At least ten years’ experience in accounting
  or financial management of which five (5) should be in a managerial
  position in a similar corporate setting.
