USAID-funded Reproductive Health Voucher Program (RHVP) in Uganda aims to
achieve measurable improvements in safe motherhood services by supporting
health financing and innovative service delivery models in the private sector.
for ensuring the overall technical excellence of RHVP’s service delivery,
financing, and capacity building activities.
- Establish systems to monitor adherence to
service standards. - Work closely with Baylor Uganda to design the
private sector facilities capacity building approach to ensure technical
excellence in service delivery, and monitor accreditation standards and
processes. - Manage the VMA, including developing terms of
reference, VMA selection, and developing clearly defined standards of
practice that providers must maintain in order to qualify for
participation. - Develop and implement innovative approaches
for improving technical skills, including sharing best practices and
lessons learned from other programs, and developing relevant training
curriculums. - Offer mentorship and supervision to staff and
consultants working on the capacity-building component of the program. - Represent RHVP on relevant technical working
groups and provide evidence-based recommendations for program improvements.
- The applicant for the USAID Project vacancy
should hold a Master’s Degree in Public Health, Social Science, or other
relevant field. - Specific training in Reproductive Health.
- A minimum of six (6) years of experience in a
service delivery setting at the provincial and/or district level in
Uganda. - Familiarity with evidence-based and promising
models, and internationally-recognized best practices in safe motherhood. - Significant experience with private sector
health service delivery. - Proven abilities to plan and implement
capacity building activities and workshops. - Previous experience in coaching individuals
and organizations on clinical and medical issues. - Advanced written, presentation, and
communication skills in English.
