About UNHCR Project:
Windle
Trust Uganda (WTU) works in partnership with the UNHCR and it now operates
Vocational Training Centres at Panyandoli Secondary School in Kiryandongo
District and Nakivale Vocational Training Centre in Isingiro District.
Job Summary: The Deputy Principal will manage, evaluate,
monitor academic and administrative programmes and ensure their implementation.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • In charge of deputizing the Principal in
    his/her official absence.
  • Supporting the Principal and Management in
    monitoring academic and administrative programmes which shall include
    among others coordination and preparation of departmental schemes of work.
  • The incumbent will be enforcing discipline by
    chairing the students disciplinary Committee and forward reports to the
    Principal for further action.
  • Carry out regular counselling of students
    whilst working collaboratively with staff
  • Overseeing, enforce and ensure the integrity
    of teaching and all the examination and proper custody of students’
    results.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The ideal candidate should preferably hold a
    Bachelor’s degree in technical education, Certificate in technical teacher
    education
  • Certificate in management training.
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Ability to multi task and work under pressure
    with minimum supervision.
