Uganda Limited (IAU) is a non-governmental humanitarian national organization
established in 1988, and duly registered with the NGO Board and NGO Forum. IAU
is actively involved in programs geared towards the protection and improvement
of lives of disadvantaged people living in urban and rural areas in Uganda and
in the Great Lakes Region. InterAid Uganda is focused on its thematic areas of
Rights Protection, Education, Livelihood & Food Security, Health
(HIV&AIDS; Malaria; Maternal and Reproductive Health), Water, Sanitation
& Hygiene (WASH), Environment and Disaster Management and good Management
and Governance systems.
Services Officer in planning, coordinating and implementing all programs geared
towards the wellbeing of PSNs
- Responsible for conducting social assessment
to PoC and recommend necessary support to the client. - Ensure that PoC with disabilities have access
to available public services. - Responsible for accommodation and houses for
PSN. - The jobholder will also ,obilize and
sensitize refugee communities through community out reaches to support the
PSN - Coordinate support for identified
beneficiaries with specific needs with relevant services and benefits. - Responsible to ensure that PSNs participate in
Income Generating Activities - Provide counseling to beneficiaries
- Carry out awareness campaigns to intended
beneficiaries to promote support to persons with specific needs. - Compile weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual
and specific activity reports and ensure timely submission. - Provide support and coordinate with other
sections that will provide support to PSNs - Ensure that the internal process and work
plans are adhered to.
- The ideal candidate should preferably hold a Bachelor’s
degree in Social work, Social science or any humanities from a recognised
institution. - A minimum of
two years’ relevant work experience in an NGO environment from a
reputable organisation. - Prior experience in managing vulnerable
groups is desirable.
