About US:
Kampala
Capital City Authority (KCCA) is the legal entity, established by the Ugandan
Parliament, is responsible for the operations of the capital city of Kampala in
Uganda. Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) secured funding from the Bill and
Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) and Department for International Department
(DfID), UK, for a three (3) year Faecal Sludge Management (FSM) Project. The
Project seeks to improve FSM in the vulnerable urban poor areas of Kampala City
through an efficient and affordable private sector led service delivery model.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Provide administrative and technical support
    to the project teams in line with project objective.
  • The incumbent will coordinate the
    implementation of project approved work plan and budget in line with the
    budget requirements.
  • Keenly track overall implementation progress
    of monthly activities and provide on-time internal status and funders’
  • Reports
  • Organize regular meetings with the project
    teams to evaluate progress and monitor performance targets
  • Develop and maintain an updated filing system
    for the project as per the project requirement.
  • Manage and monitor all initially identified
    and emerging risks of the project and provide advice on mitigation
    strategies to the PM and PTL.
  • Prepare and submit project analytical reports
    to the Project Manager in line with the project
  • Requirements
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned
    by the Project Manager.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The ideal candidates for the KCCA Project
    Administrator vacancy should be Ugandans who hold  an Honor’s Bachelor’s Degree in any of
    the following courses: Business Administration (Management Option), Public
    Administration, Management, Arts, Education, Social Science, Water Management,
    Sanitation, Environmental Health Environmental Management Policy,
    Environmental Engineering, Public Health or any other course in the field
    plus a post graduate qualifications in any of the following fields: Environment
    Management, Sanitation and Public Health related field. Specialized training
    in Project planning and implementation and membership to relevant
    professional associations are an added advantage.
  • At least eight (8) years of proven practical
    working experience of which three (3) should have been in project
    management at senior level, in an informal settlements of cities or urban settings
    of sub-Saharan Africa, preferably in the field of water and sanitation,
    environmental management, environmental health, public health
  • or waste management.
  • Age: 30 Years and above
