Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Provide overall leadership, oversight and
    ensure strategic development, policy and procedure development according
    to catholic values approved by the Board.
  • Attend and/or chair meetings including Board,
    Management, Finance and other Operational and developmental meetings
    respectively.
  • Ensure overall financial management and
    performance of the hospital.
  • Manage the activities of Staff, including
    performance management, Staff welfare, training and development.
  • Manage stakeholder relations with medical and
    health Government Bodies, Catholic Agencies and International
    Organisations.
  • Build and strengthen strategic partnerships
    and promote hospital funding and research by lobbying with international
    organizations.
  • Prepare and present quarterly reports to the
    Board and Uganda Catholic Medical Bureau respectively.
  • Ensure planning, development and
    implementation of hospital infrastructure, financial, medical equipment
    and human resources in terms of continuous professional development.
  • Keenly monitor overall quality and
    appropriateness of medical care at the Hospital.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The ideal candidate should hold an MBChB or
    its equivalent from a recognized University/Institution
  • Also, the incumbent should hold a Master of Medicine Degree in any Clinical
    discipline or Master’s Degree in Public Health or Health Services
    Management from a recognized University.
  • At least fifteen years’ working experience
    with 3 at a senior administrative level.
  • Possession of a fellowship in any clinical
    sub-specialty, and/or Masters of Business Administration is an added
    advantage.
  • Working knowledge of Health Services
    Management and Control
  • Strong management, communication and
    interpersonal skills.
