provides critical training and education to health professionals through its
various programs in midwifery and nursing, health sciences, and laboratory
technology. Mengo Hospital also has a dedicated research and development team
that works to find new solutions to health issues in Uganda.

Job Summary: The Human
Resources Officer will support the HR. Manager in managing Mengo Hospital’s
human resource function.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- In charge of providing HR. functional
guidance to management, Heads of Department, - Line Managers and Staff on the
interpretation, application, implementation and communication of Hospital
HR. decisions, policies procedures and actions - Providing satisfying solutions to Line
Managers on HR operational issues - In charge of initiating and delivering on the
execution of the various Hospital HR Goals and Strategies in accordance with
the Hospital Strategic Plan
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant should preferably hold an Honors
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Human Resources Management or
related field, with a Master’s Degree or Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource
Management. - A minimum of ten years’ relevant working
experience and exposure in managing HR preferably in a large operation organization or work
context, at least three of which as Head or Deputy Head at management
level - Possess good leadership and analytical skills
- Good problem solver and expediter, with
capacity to think strategically and to operate at all management and staff
levels - The applicant must be an honest, mature and
well balanced person with integrity - Computer literacy skills
- Age: Above 40 years
