Uganda Limited (IAU) is a non-governmental humanitarian national organization
established in 1988, and duly registered with the NGO Board and NGO Forum. IAU
is actively involved in programs geared towards the protection and improvement
of lives of disadvantaged people living in urban and rural areas in Uganda and
in the Great Lakes Region. InterAid Uganda is focused on its thematic areas of
Rights Protection, Education, Livelihood & Food Security, Health
(HIV&AIDS; Malaria; Maternal and Reproductive Health), Water, Sanitation
& Hygiene (WASH), Environment and Disaster Management and good Management
and Governance systems.
Livelihood Officer to implement livelihood activities to support the refugee
and host community in Kampala to get, maintain and develop sustainable
livelihoods.
- Support the Livelihood Officer in training
identified refugees in business / Entrepreneur skills. - Provide support in conducting Business
clinics for refugees interested in starting businesses. - In charge of the mobilization and
sensitization of refugee communities on livelihood issues and facilitate
them to take individual and or group decision on improving their
livelihoods in line with available livelihood opportunities. - Support refugees, develop and implement business
plans for self-reliance. - Provide Livelihood counseling to refugees and
provide relevant information regarding access and management of Income
Generating Activities. - Offer support and advice to refugees on
coming up with groups and their management. - Responsible for organizing financial literacy
trainings. - Carry out field visits on IGAs granted and
provide feedback and reports. - Provide support in conducting assessment of
groups before releasing IGA funds - Support the desk in recovering the extended
funds - Compile weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual
and specific activity reports and timely submission
- The applicant should preferably hold a Bachelor’s
Degree in Business management, Administration, Micro-finance or any
business related course from a recognized institution. - At least two years relevant work experience
in Project Planning and Management
