Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Checking of refractive power by Auto Refract
meter. - Checking the intraocular pressure by
Tonometer. - Taking Patient History.
- In charge of checking Subjective Refraction
and Radioscopy. - Checking color blindness.
- Checking EOM (Extra Ocular Movements and
Pupil Reaction) - Contact Lens fitting and dispensing.
- Cataract Investigation: A – Scan, B – Scan, IOL Master,
Keratometry, Syringing and Specular Microscopy. - Glaucoma Investigation: Autoperimetry, OCT
- Orthoptics Investigation: Squint Workup, Synaptophore,
Hess-Charting, Diplopia Charting and Retinoscopy. - Posterior Segment Evaluation: Fundus
Fluorecin Angiography, Posterior Optical Coherence Tomography, B – Scan,
Pachymetry. - Cornea Evaluation: Zyoptix Workup, Aberropia Workup,
Orbscan, Aberrometry and Anterior Segment OCT, Contrast Sensitivity, W4DT
(Worth 4 Dot Test), Schirmer test for Dry Eye. - Handing over the case sheets to next
department.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate should preferably hold a Certificate
/Diploma in Nursing/optomethology - A minimum of one to two years hands on
working experience as an optometric nurse - The applicant must have worked as a nurse in
an Eye Hospital - Computer literacy i.e. proficiency in MS
Office, excel, word etc. - Broad knowledge and understanding the
Business and its practices - Achieving Results on time
- Serving the Customer and understanding their
needs - Teamwork, integrity and innovation
- Excellent interpersonal and communication
skills and proper communication channels - Strategic Planning and proper scheduling of
tasks given - Adopts a proactive approach with an ability
to work on own initiative with limited supervision, while recognizing
issues that require referral - Fluent in English and other local languages
