Job Summary: The IT Technician will provide front line
technical support for state-of-the-art applications and for any difficulties
encountered by end users. In addition, the incumbent will also be responsible
for troubleshooting problems to ensure the proper operation the company’s
computer systems. The incumbent will also ensure proper maintenance and running
of software/hardware applications; as well as telephones and network
availability at all times. The IT Technician will deal with vendors for the
purchase of IT equipment and will assist in the implementation of new projects
assigned by the IT Support Manager.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the IT in charge to run
day-to-day operations by providing technical support to end users and
carry out system maintenance on regular basis - Assess current and future data processing
needs for different users and diagnose any system malfunctions - Work on special projects assigned by IT
Manager and ensure the development and execution of proper training and
documentation - Communicate with all user departments,
hardware/software suppliers and sister companies and probe for latest
releases and technological updates
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate should be a Ugandan
National graduate with a Certificates in computers or related courses - At least two years’ experience in the IT
field - The applicant must be skilled in using
Microsoft applications, Windows, LAN & WAN maintenance - Must be residing in Uganda
- Fluent in English and able to communicate
fluidly and clearly
