Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Offers support to internal Auditor in the
review of internal controls and procedures. - Prepares documentation, performs tests for
audit, summarises findings and compiles conclusions made in the audit
programme - Quickly responds to review notes raised by
the Audit Senior and team leader - Provide support to the Internal Audit senior
in the follow up implementation of extern management letter recommendations - Ensures the input of information into the
Audit tracker template, follow up checklists and estimate the rate of
implementation - Organises meetings, make requisitions and
contribute in annual budget workplan - Computes the estimated rate of implementation
of the recommendations
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the Internal Audit
Assistant career opportunity should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
or relevant discipline. - One year of relevant work experience in a
medium-sized organisation - Excellent interpersonal skills
- Show commitment to work within a team environment
- Keen attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Good time management skills
- Proven ability to solve problems creatively
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Flexibility, Initiative, Confidentiality
