Job Summary: The ICT Assistant will lend a hand to the ICT
Officer in providing an efficient and secure network that supports end users to
perform their duties while ensuring a controlled and secure computer systems
environment and developing employee skills.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Offer first line Personal Computer support to
end users for all operational activities - Install and support Personal Computer
software - The incumbent will manage the preventive and
corrective maintenance of PCs, printers and peripherals - Organize and conduct user training of the
systems. - Provide day to-day management and
administration of the GBVIMS. - Responsible for data management and
processing using the GBVIMS and generate timely reports. - Provide day-to-day network administration and
support and ensure that users are informed of scheduled shutdown well in
time - Carry out the day-to-day maintenance and
installation of workstations, and network equipment for office - Diagnose and fix a variety of computer
software and hardware problems - Manage access to electronic information by
setting access permissions/levels or rights according to management policy - The incumbent will manage the allocation of
storage on the file server for users - Ensure a well-controlled data management
environment including interim and monthly back-ups of all information. - Manage access to internet/e-mail according to
management policy - Responsible for the documentation of all
problems and solutions in the network environment - Inform information systems end users in time
about scheduled maintenance of computer equipment - Update and maintain IT systems to ensure
efficient operation across the organization - Ensure compliance with uptime and performance
standards - Implement information systems security
controls in compliance with organisational policies, procedures and
standards. - Assist in improving InterAid’s presence on
the web and participate in carrying out social media campaigns - Ensure compliance with information systems
policies, standards and procedures; - Ensure compliance with uptime and performance
standards;
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the ICT Assistant vacancy
should hold a Degree in Computer Science or Degree in Information
Technology. - A minimum of two years’ experience in
Information technology in a reputable organisation - Practical experience in setting up web server
and web design using CMS, managing Windows And Ubuntu network server will
