Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- In charge of ensuring that purchased goods
are delivered to the respective buyers. - The clearing agent also handles documentation
related to the shipments, including insurance forms and dispatch forms. - Ensures that the shipment is compliant with
the hazardous shipping compliance information. - The incumbent also keeps track of routing
information. - Keenly verify that the carrier he uses is
properly licensed. - Develops logistics which he uses to track
changes and ensure delivery of goods. - The clearing agent orders containers which
will be used for packaging cargo to be delivered to the right locations,
and he researches freight rates. - In charge of unloading and proper stacking of
materials. - Maintaining adequate ‘A’ class God own in
good condition with required infrastructure. - Loading and Arranging transport for dispatches.
- Responsible for the Delivery / Dispatch of
goods to Dealers / customers as per SO or STO. - Invoicing as per company price list,
Permitting discounts on invoice as per policy. - In charge of maintaining stock records in the
computer system and existing checking physical stock tallies with the
same. - Proper storage and handling of stock in
godown. - Banking Dealers cheques, entry in the
computer records and reconciliation. - Submitting Sales Tax returns, procuring ‘F’
Forms & timely submission. - The C&FA shall keep and maintain required
number of staff and manpower at their own cost
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant should preferably hold a bachelor’s
degree in Business Administration or any related disciple - Also, the applicant should hold a Diploma in
Clearing and Forwarding - Previous experience with at least a year of experience
in Logistics, Imports and Exports industry. - Proficient in use of MS Office (Computer
literate). - Proficient in the use of ASYCUDA
- Conversant with both imports and export
procedures and imports declaration - Working knowledgeable on various types of
customs bonds and bonds processing. - Previous exposure and experience in logistics
costing and preparing quotations. - Conversant with documentation in sea freight,
clearing and forwarding and shipping procedures - Age: 27 years and above

- Effective communication skills – both oral
and written - Highly developed teamwork skills – ability to
work with others and embrace team work - Proven ability to coordinate the C&F
operations with a large team of diverse creative employees - Ability to lead in an environment of constant
change - Excellent interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated effectiveness in holding
conversations with customers and giving progress reports. - Proven ability to increase productivity and
continuously improve methods, approaches and departmental contribution –
commitment to continuous learning
