• The incumbent will be responsible for
  planning, coordinating and implementing all the planned activities of the
  sector.
• In charge of the establishment of woodlots in
  the settlement on provided land
• Responsible for maintaining the existing
  woodlot and ensure that it meets the right standars
• The incumbent will also be maintaining the
  nursery bed, raise seeds and ensure quality seeds are raised.
• Supervise all activities aiming at
  environment protection
• Mentor and train extension workers in
  environmental issues and responsibilities
• Work closely with partners –UNCHR and OPM in
  implementation of all planned activities
• Providing technical support and guidance to
  management in line with environment sector
• Document the best practices implemented,
  success stories and case studies for dissemination and learning.
• Prepare timely activity, weekly, monthly,
  quarterly and annual reports
• Directly participate in writing fundable
  proposals in line with the section.

• The applicant for the Environmental Officer should
  preferably hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Management,
  Physical and Natural Science, Environment Engineering or Science in
  Forestry from a recognized University.
• At least three years of related work
  experience particularly implementing environment related activities.
• Ability to work in the field.
• Ability to ride with a valid riding licence.
