Uganda National Oil Company Limited (UNOC) was established by Article 42 of the
Petroleum (Exploration, Development and Production) Act 2013 and incorporated
under the Company’s Act 2012. It is a fully registered limited liability
company wholly owned by Government of Uganda. The overall function of UNOC is;
To handle the State’s Commercial interests in the Oil and Gas industry and
ensure that the resource is exploited in a sustainable manner.

- In-charge of the treasury functions of the
Company – cash forecasting, working capital management, cash management,
investment management, treasury risk management, credit rating agency
relations, fund raising, banking etc; - Responsible for budget preparations of the
Company - Take charge in the preparation of financial
statements of the Company. - Ensure proper control of Company’s assets,
liabilities, financing and cost of operations so as to achieve budget in
line with financial objective of the Company - Ensure proper collection of information
pertaining to the revenues accruing from State Participation share. - Ensure the development of ICT systems to
achieve efficient management of the Company. - Actively participate in preparation and
implementation of strategic business plans and goals for the company. - Ensure the proper maintenance of records and
information. - Ensure compliance with legal and statutory
requirements. - The incumbent will also develop financial
systems, policies and regulations of the Company including procurement - Manage all company registries; and Supervise
proper maintenance of records and information
- The ideal candidate for the UNOC Chief
Finance and Administration Manager should hold a Bachelor’s (Hons) Degree
in Finance, Commerce or Business Administration from a recognized
university. A professional qualification in ACCA is a must. - The applicant must also hold a Master’s Degree
in Finance, or Business Administration majoring in Accounting is an added
advantage - A minimum of ten years’ working experience in
a busy and reputable organization, five or which in a senior position. - Significant experience in Oil and Gas is an
added advantage. - Proactive and creative with excellent
interpersonal and proficiency skills in computerized accounting systems. - Broad knowledge of procurement procedures,
