Uganda National Oil Company Limited (UNOC) was established by Article 42 of the
Petroleum (Exploration, Development and Production) Act 2013 and incorporated
under the Company’s Act 2012. It is a fully registered limited liability
company wholly owned by Government of Uganda. The overall function of UNOC is;
To handle the State’s Commercial interests in the Oil and Gas industry and
ensure that the resource is exploited in a sustainable manner.
Department and take charge of general supervision of surface and subsurface
exploration, preparation and implementation of strategic plans and negotiations
for exploration licences.
- Actively take part in the preparation and
implementation of strategic business plans and goals for the company, - Responsible for development of oil and gas
exploration projects including undertaking feasibility study and economic
analyses. - Actively participate in negotiation
agreements for licenses in liaison with other relevant institutions of
Government. - Responsible for HSE Compliance in exploration
activities.
- The ideal candidate should preferably hold a
Master’s Degree in Petroleum Geosciences, Exploration Geophysics or
related discipline, and a Degree in Business Administration or equivalent
from a recognized University would be an added advantage; , - Ten or more years’ experience in petroleum
exploration; five of which in a Senior managerial position. - Proven leadership and project management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
